Some months ago you posted on youtube “The Incredible Bread Machine Film”, from a black-and-white copy of the 1975 TV broadcast. I’m pleased that someone discovered it after all this time. It really comes across much better in color, and since I made the original film, I have a DVD copy of the complete film in color. If you are interested in posting the original color version in place of the b&w, please contact me. It’s interesting how relevant that film is today. T.K.

does the higher and higher cost of malpractice insurance end up causing higher and higher costs for the individual…also, b/c of this the doctors run more and more expensive “tests” to prevent law suits as well…with my understanding i do not see a way to deal with this very issue in what you have suggested…or will it just take care of itself…

Yes, there is a high correlation between the introduction of the medicaid and medicare systems and the escalation in health care costs.

Thinking along the same lines, rather than spending money to fight the fraud associated with the medicaid system, it would be better to abolish they medicaid system. This may seem cold and heartless, as it is currently the only way some people are receiving medical care. The savings (from the elimination of the massive supporting bureaucracy) associated with shutting the system down would cycle through and decrease the costs of the services. And, to top it all off, you wouldn’t have any of the fraud associated with the system.

More simplified, we need to re-establish health insurance, which is cost efficient and risk management effective, and damn this “prepaid healthcare” that has been parading around as health insurance, and conning all of the uninformed users of medical services into thinking it is a good thing, while fleecing them at the same time and blaming free markets for the high costs.

what about spending some money and defeat the fraud going on…that equals very big bucks…that is being ignored…why?…
there is more fraud with medicaid and people are constantly enabling it…
