That was probably a huge mistake to not expressly forbid government's monopoly on issuing money. There are probably many other things the founding fathers left out of the constitution that we have yet to discover. Thankfully there is a provision that the constitution can be amended! Maybe we should think about taking action through our representatives that will lead to the demonopolization of the US mints? I agree.
