Personal

Hi fellow Homo Sapiens (the most intelligent species in the known universe). My name is Michael R Stoddard. I am 58 years old (about one third of the way to my dirt nap) and am a practicing CPA and CFP. I count myself among the very few that believe that freedom really works. Not only do we constantly hear about market failures but also freedom failures (1984 doublespeak). My goal with this site is to share what I have learned about how to find freedom and prosperity in an Unfree World (homage to Harry Browne) AND with your help Liberate the Planet. I am looking forward to gaining from your insights and wisdom. This site encourages a dialectical discussion. I thrive on FEEDBACK and DIALOGUE.

SO, please, please read the blogs carefully and provide thoughtful commentary! Reason is our most powerful tool.

My baggage: I believe Freedom REALLY works! I am an unrepentant libertarian with a strong grounding in Austrian Economics (eg: I have read Human Action by Ludwig von Mises at least 20 times – go to Mises.org). I believe in you and me. Those who have influenced me most are – Aristotle, Leonardo de Fibonacci, Ayn Rand, Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, Fredrich von Hayek, Harry Browne, David Friedman, Kevin Kelly, Nassim Nicholas Taleb, James Clavell, Robert Heinlein.

I can be reached at: michael@fibonaccifinancial.com ;-)

i just barely found out how to access more of your financial blog info…playing with your site…hoping this finds you able to keep cool enough…if you are somewhere in state…i would ask that you be my actual financial advisor yet i fear there is nothing to invest…it would be a finite bit of $…i am working on diminishing my debt and investing in my health…perhaps if life slows down some in the future we could meet…til you are able…take care and peace…

Some months ago you posted on youtube “The Incredible Bread Machine Film”, from a black-and-white copy of the 1975 TV broadcast. I’m pleased that someone discovered it after all this time. It really comes across much better in color, and since I made the original film, I have a DVD copy of the complete film in color. If you are interested in posting the original color version in place of the b&w, please contact me. It’s interesting how relevant that film is today. T.K.
